IRENA Roundtable: Accelerating Renewables in Central Asia

This session is dedicated to accelerating the energy transition in Central Asia and advancing the Accelerating Renewable Energy Transition in Central Asia (APRECA) initiative launched by IRENA at COP29.

Discussions will focus on regional cooperation and practical steps to triple renewable energy capacity and improve energy efficiency by 2030. Participants will address APRECA’s priorities: energy infrastructure and regional connectivity, local value creation and green industrialization, regulatory and institutional frameworks, as well as mobilizing private investment and expanding access to finance.
