Yernur Rysmagambetov

Head of the Bureau of Continuing Professional Development. Astana International Financial Centre

Rysmagambetov Yernur graduated from the school in 2003 and became the owner of the "Altyn Belgi" medal. In school years, he was a several times winner of the International Physics Olympiad. He received a full scholarship from the California Institute of Technology and graduated with a BS degree in Business, Economics and Management. Yernur also studied at the University College London under the student exchange program, and successfully passed all 3 levels of CFA professional qualification.

From 2006 to 2008 he worked as a financial analyst at the "JP Morgan Chase" investment bank and at the “Wilshire Associates” financial-analytical corporation. From 2008 to 2013 he worked in the “Samruk-Kazyna” Real Estate Fund, and at the "Falah Growth Fund" Direct Investments Fund, where he held various positions from an investment analyst to an investment director. From 2014 to 2016 he worked as a Deputy CEO at the National Investment Corporation.

From 2008 to 2012 Yernur was engaged in educational and career coaching. He coached gifted graduates in their college/career choices. As a result, nearly 200 students were accepted to the top universities of the US, UK, EU and Singapore.

Since 2009, he has been actively involved in training of Physics, Math and Finance. From 2009 to 2015 he was a coach of the national team of the RoK in Physics.  Students under the direction of Yernur became gold medalists of international Olympiads. Also, the first students, who took his finance courses, successfully passed CFA.

Currently, Yernur Rysmagambetov is the Head of the Bureau of Continuing Professional Development in the Astana International Financial Centre. In addition, he is the Treasurer of the International Physics Olympiad Committee, an Independent Member of the Board of Directors of the Non-profit JSC “National School of Physics and Math”, and the Managing Director of the Fizmat Endowment Fund.
