World Energy Week 2021

In the period from October 4 to 8 this year, together with the World Energy Council (WEC), KAZENERGY Association is holding WORLD ENERGY WEEK and the XIV KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum on the topic: ENERGY FOR BETTER LIVES.

The World Energy Council is the largest international energy non – governmental organization established in 1923. The WEC consists of more than 90 national committees representing more than 300 organizations, including state authorities, industrial and expert organizations.

WORLD ENERGY WEEK is an annual global event of world energy leaders held by the World Energy Council.

For the first time, WORLD ENERGY WEEK is held in Central Asia, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Nur-Sultan.

The main goal of the event is to promote sustainable development and the use of energy for the benefit of humanity. The World Energy Week 2021 is held by the National Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The week-long program will offer a wide range of events and networking opportunities for the global energy community, including exclusive high-level meetings that will bring together heads of line ministries, heads of multinational corporations and international organizations, a wide audience of leaders and experts in the field of energy. The event will promote debate and open dialogue on energy issues for the creation of sustainable energy systems at the national, regional and global levels.

ENERGY FOR BETTER LIVES

The topic reflects the aspirations of the international community in ensuring energy security, decarbonization and low-carbon development. The choice of the topic is also related to efforts to overcome the global crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and improve people’s lives.
