Serkan Yıkarbaba graduated from the Ankara University Law Faculty in 2003, and admitted to Ankara Bar Association as an attorney in 2005.
He is a legal counsel in the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and specializes in international arbitration with particular emphasis on investment disputes. He has worked as the Ministry’s counselor and the case officer in arbitration cases before the International Center of the Investment Disputes (ICSID), as well as in Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and ICC.
Mr. Yıkarbaba also represents The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in domestic administrative cases as an attorney and provides consultancy, give legal opinion when required for drafting legislation process regarding electric market.
Serkan Yıkarbaba is a member of numerous professional associations including the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, Union of Turkish Public Notaries, Ankara Bar Association and the European Union Experts Association.
