Let me wholeheartedly congratulate the participants of the XII KAZENERGY Youth Forum. Special thanks to the organizers of the Forum for the invitation and the opportunity to participate for Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after Gumarbek Daukeev in a significant event of the Republic of Kazakhstan designed to exchange best practices, present new ideas, promising technologies and projects in the field of ecology and energy conservation, demonstrate scientific achievements and strengthen international relations.

In the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after Gumarbek Daukeev  is a real competence center in the field of energy-efficient green technologies, taking an active part in the implementation of the Concept for the Transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a “green economy”. In recent years, the University has actively participated in the discussion of environmental problems of Almaty, the discussion of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the development of a feasibility study on the conversion of Almaty CHP-2 to gas fuel. Thanks to the competent teaching staff participating in regional and republican expert committees on ecology, green technologies and renewable energy sources, AUEC has taken a leading place among the industry competence centers in the field of electric power, automation, telecommunications, information security and space engineering.

Indeed, for more than four decades of the history of formation and development, Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after Gumarbek Daukeev has trained more than 50,000 highly qualified specialists and has become a real forge of personnel for the energy, communications and IT industries. In addition, we are the only university that, unlike other universities, trains ecologists of the engineering field to solve environmental problems not only urban, but also national scale.

For research purposes, the University has all the necessary scientific equipment and accredited laboratories in various industries: an environmental testing laboratory, an energy audit laboratory, a laboratory for measuring electrical energy quality indicators, a verification laboratory for measuring electrical quantities.

Today, science, being the engine of scientific and technological progress, thereby serves as the main factor of changes in the environment, therefore our task is to direct it in a creative direction so that the introduction of scientific research as a result leads to a reduction in the anthropogenic load on the environment.

Such studies conducted at our university include:

• Digital counterparts of the energy industry;
• Introduction of artificial intelligence and automation of technological processes in thermal and electrical networks;
• Environmental expertise;
• Renewable and alternative energy sources.

To solve the growing environmental problems, it is necessary to connect all reserves: financial, research, and administrative. With the participation of all interested parties in this forum – the government, the public and business, I hope this forum will help organize joint activities in solving environmental problems under the motto “Our future is in our hands” and we need to build this future together.

We are ready to cooperate and are ready to participate in all projects to solve the environmental projects of our cities with all our resources, and first of all with human resources.

After all, regardless of age, positions and financial opportunities, we all breathe the same air and walk along the same streets of our beautiful city.
