MARATBEK GABDULLIN

Acting Rector, Chairman of the Board of Kazakh-British Technical University

Dear participants, organizers, guests of World Energy Week and the XII KAZENERGY Youth Forum,

On behalf of the Kazakh-British Technical University and on my own behalf, I welcome you and congratulate you on the start of the Forum, which is one of the key events of the energy industry.

Every year, students and young people from different parts of our country gather to participate in the Youth Forum. Addressing the students, I would like to note the special contribution of the KAZENERGY Association to the development of young talents as one of the priorities of the Association’s activities.

Modern global challenges, such as the coronavirus pandemic, and at the same time new opportunities are weighty arguments for rethinking values in the post-pandemic period, clarifying priorities and further development of Kazakhstan’s energy sector from the perspective of threats, risks and determining growth points.

Such a rethinking of values and the emergence of new ideas and subsequent projects can lead us to a more eco-friendly and “green” society, committed to the principles of sustainable development and relying on digital technologies.

In this regard, the KAZENERGY forum is a unique communication platform that promotes the activation of cooperation in the international energy arena, and creates conditions for the implementation of youth projects in this direction.

In turn, I would like to say that the teams of our university take an active part in various program events, interactive discussions and intellectual competitions on a regular basis. And this year, two of our teams represent the university and made it into the final.

I wish the Forum participants interesting projects, new breakthrough ideas and solutions, success in finding their mission and achieving their goals!
