Eimear Bonner was appointed General Manager, Operations at Tengizchevroil (TCO) on 1 November 2015.
Prior to this she had been working at Chevron Corporation headquarters in San Ramon, California. Eimear started her career as an offshore petroleum engineer in the United Kingdom North Sea and progressed through technical and leadership roles of increasing responsibility in petroleum engineering, production operations, reservoir management, project management, strategy and planning and operational excellence in the United Kingdom, United States, Thailand and Kazakhstan.
Her first assignment to Kazakhstan was 2012-2013 when she was Deputy Managing Director, Eurasia Business Unit. In that role she was responsible for Operations in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan’s Manufacturing Operations and Reinvestment Portfolio, and functional groups including Operational Excellence, Marketing and Trading and Exploration.
In Thailand she was an Asset Manager responsible for production from three offshore operations, a successful Major Capital Project start-up and the development of the future growth portfolio for Chevron’s Thailand assets.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast in 1996, and her Master’s degrees in Advanced Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London in 1997 and 1998 respectively.
Eimear is married to Mike and they have two daughters.
